After the PhD
The PhD graduates that carried their activities in a purely research environment often continue their career in an academic context, or move to an industrial R&D environment after one or more cycles of post-doctoral appointments. Complementarily, graduates that carried their PhD activity in close collaboration with industrial partners typically have a very direct access to highly specialized positions in this context.
Recent surveys of the occupational situation of our graduates show that many of them are successfully employed in an international research context, often in the framework of track-record positions, sometimes with permanent positions. Basically, a null unemployment rate results from internal surveys that are periodically conducted by members of the Scientific Board and former supervisors.
